National Research Council of Italy
The National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research institution in Italy. Founded as legal person on 18 November 1923, CNR’s mission is to perform research in its own Institutes, to promote innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, to promote the internationalization of the national research system, to provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs, to advice Government and other public bodies, and to contribute to the qualification of human resources.
CNR-DSCTM
The Department of Chemical Science and Material Technologies of the Italian Nation Research Council (CNR‐DSCTM) has the knowledge to manage the international and intersectorial exchange of both researchers and technologists involved in the projects. CNR DSCTM with its institutes has over a thousand people, which 70% are researchers. Moreover, the necessary technical expertise and outstanding research infrastructures devoted to 3D printing of biomaterials and functional materials for health‐care applications are at Institute of polymers composite and biomaterials (IPCB), one of the 14 institutes of CNR‐DSCTM, where the research activities will be performed.

The National Engineering Research Centre for Biomaterials (NERCB) is the first opening national institute for biomaterials research and development approved by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China in 2000. Based on Sichuan University, NERCB is an independent legal entity involving different activities in biomaterial science and engineering including education, research, development, engineering, manufacturing, and business.

Medprin Regenerative Medical Technologies Co., Ltd is a biomedical device company, focused on improving people’s lives through timely innovations in regenerative medicine and biomaterials. Medprin is a manufacturer for Class III implantable medical devices and implements ISO 13485 quality management system for all of its products. Regarding the human resources the Medprin staff team is composed of 67 people, 35 of them are dedicated to research activities. Regarding infrastructures Medprin owns state‐of‐the‐art GMP facilities, and advanced R&D laboratories equipped with various modern 3D printing equipment.

In particular SHTIC promotes start‐up gateway programme to provide pre‐incubation service and soft‐landing service to overseas innovative start‐ups.
